Warranty Policy

We understand the inconvenience caused by defects and empathize with your frustration in these situations. Our devoted team is here to assist you in these circumstances. While our warranty claims system is designed to handle material or workmanship issues, we acknowledge that accidents can occur in the household over time.

Please note: Our warranty does not cover gradual damages. Nevertheless, we are committed to offering valuable advice on cleaning and care to all clients through our Products Care Guide.

Policy Effective Date: January 4th, 2024.

Scope of Warranty Coverage:

All finishes, parts, and components of new furniture and merchandise ("Products") are warranted by Tailored Living Bespoke to the consumer for a period as specified in the respective product category, typically up to 12 months starting from the date of delivery. This warranty covers defects in material and manufacturing only ("Defects") under normal use, subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein.

Warranty Claims Process:

To initiate a warranty claim, kindly reach out to us at claims@tlbespoke.ca within the stipulated warranty period for the respective product category. We will work diligently with you to address the issue through methods such as repair, replacement of parts, store credit, or, when deemed necessary, complete product replacement. Claims must be submitted with proper documentation:

    • Proof of purchase (e-Receipt, or electronic order confirmation).
    • Proof of Delivery date, such as tracking info (to determine warranty period). If not available, your date of purchase will be used as the warranty start date.
    • Photos and/or short videos of defect.

The chosen resolution strategy will be determined based on the specific nature of the concern, at our discretion. Please allow 2-4 business days for us to review the submitted claim.

Warranty Coverage:

This warranty provides coverage to the original purchaser only and is not transferable under any circumstances. The warranty covers defects when used for residential use, unless otherwise specified for certain products. Warranty is void if non-contract viable (non-commercial grade) products are placed in commercial settings. Warranty is void if any modifications, including re-upholstering, have been made by any dealer, trade partner, person or any unauthorized party.

Specific Product Categories:

SOFA/UPHOLSTERY:

  • Frame and Spring: 12-month warranty under normal residential care and use.
  • Fabrics: 6-month warranty against defective material or workmanship and unusual wear resulting from normal residential use and care.
  • Seat Cushions: 12-month warranty against collapse under normal residential care and use. All foams and filling materials will soften and conform to the shape of the users; this is considered normal and is not a defect. Please note that all seat cushions and back pillows must be maintained, rotated and flipped on a regular basis to promote even wear and appearance.
  • Seams: 6-month warranty for workmanship defects, with any issues expected to surface within the initial three months of use. Seams are strengthened with cutting-edge sewing technology for added durability. Upon receiving your sofa, carefully inspect all seams and report any defects within seven days.
  • Warranty Exclusions: The warranty is void if any alterations, such as re-upholstering, are made. It does not cover neglect, misuse, intentional damage, normal wear and tear, or dye transfer. The warranty may also be voided by the application of fabric protection or chemical treatments.

ARTWORK & DECOR:

At Tailored Living Bespoke, we take pride in providing unique and artisanal artwork and decor pieces. Our products often showcase a distinctive and intentional natural aged and distressed appearance, enhancing their aesthetic appeal, and is a deliberate design choice. It's important to note that the warranty does not cover aspects related to the natural aging and distressing of these items, as these are integral elements of their design. Specific warranty details for Rugs and Lighting are not included in the warranty section "Artwork & Decor", and is detailed further below.

  • Warranty Coverage:
    • Durability: Our warranty covers the structural integrity and durability of the artwork and decor, ensuring they withstand the test of time, maintain their core design, and functionality for a period of up to 6 months from the date of delivery.
  • Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:
    • Natural Aged and Distressed Look: The warranty explicitly excludes coverage for any variations, imperfections, or changes in appearance that result from the intentional natural aging and distressing processes inherent in the design of the product. This includes natural processes such as changes in color or patina over time.
    • Intentional Alterations: Any alterations or modifications made intentionally by the customer, including attempts to distress the item further, will void the warranty.

    MARBLES:

    Natural characteristics such as veining, pitting, fissures, micro-cracks, and color variations are not considered defects.

    • Warranty Exclusions: Damages resulting from exposure to alcohol, cleaning substances, sunlight, and normal wear and tear are not covered.

    WOOD AND WOOD VENEER:

    Natural variations in texture, color, and grain are expected and not considered defects. Fine indentations, knots, and burls are intrinsic features and not considered defects. Solid wood may develop cracks over time due to environmental factors; these are part of the natural aging process and not considered defects.

    • Warranty Exclusions: Damages resulting from exposure to water, fabric dye transfer, cleaning substances, sunlight, and incorrect maintenance are not covered.

    RUGS:

    All rugs come with a product warranty of up to 3 months. Various exclusions outside the warranty entitlement are specified for shedding, sprouting pulls, color and texture changes, rolling marks, matting, crushing, and odors.

    • Warranty Exclusions:
      • Shedding, which can be reduced by vacuuming the rug at low power mode at least once a week.
      • Sprouting pulls or loss of some tufts of fiber
      • Color and texture changes due to the use of natural fibers and dyes or prolonged exposure to sunlight, humidity, heat, or certain gases
      • Rolling marks, which can disappear with routine vacuuming.
      • Matting and crushing in rugs, which can be minimized by proper maintenance of the rug
      • Rugs recently removed from a bag may have odor which can dissipate by placing the rug (back side up) in direct sunlight for 24 hours.
      • No warranties or returns on discontinued and/or clearance-priced rugs.

    LIGHTING:

    Electrical component failures covered for 90 calendar days.

    • Warranty Exclusions: Damages resulting from neglect, misuse, abuse, and accidental damage are not covered.

    Additional Warranty Exclusions:

    Applicable to all products, exclusions include, but are not limited to, neglect, misuse, abuse, intentional damage, accident, unintended strain, normal wear and tear, incorrect maintenance, cleaning, or care, damage resulting from exposure to alcohol, water, fabric dye transfer, cleaning substances, sunlight, household humidity, incorrect application of treatments or coatings, acts of nature, or animal damage. 

    Markings on the underside or rear of the product, as well as any other conditions not considered defects, are excluded. Exclusions on Marbles, Wood and Wood Veneers, and Rugs are outlined above.

    No warranties or returns on Discontinued, Clearance, Sale, and/or Special Promotional Items

    Resolution & Compensation:

    Should your warranty claim be approved, this is our Warranty Resolution Guide to resolve the claim via one of the following:

    • Replacement Parts or Repair:
      • If necessary, we may provide replacement parts at no cost, with a lead time of 2-3 weeks. Labor and shipping charges associated with replacement parts are not covered.
      • If replacement parts are not feasible, the defective product may be repaired at our discretion. Approval of reasonable and customary labor rates must be approved before repairs are initiated. Reimbursement for local repair charges is contingent on our approval of the repair quote and upon receipt of the invoice paid by you for the repair.
      • Tailored Living Bespoke disclaims guaranteeing the repair work's satisfaction.
      • Please note that we are not responsible for the costs associated with transporting the defective products to the retailer for repair.
    • Discount Proposal:
      • In case of a defect or concern, we may propose a discount on the original item before considering a full replacement.
      • This discount will be offered as a store credit at our discretion and is not guaranteed.
      • No additional compensation (refunds, store credit, repairs or replacements) beyond the proposed discount is assumed or guaranteed.
      • Any credit applied must be used towards future orders within one year from the date of issue; unused credits expire after this specified time.
    • Full Replacement:
      • If parts replacement or repairs are not feasible, a full replacement may be considered at our discretion.
      • Return the defective product to our warehouse within 30 days of claim approval.
      • Once received, your replacement will be dispatched within three business days.
      • You may be responsible for shipping and handling fees associated with both the defective product and its replacement.
    • After Claims Resolution:
      • At our discretion, once a warranty claim has been approved and rectified, the product may no longer be eligible for additional warranty claims. 
      • For specific details on how each resolution option applies to your product, please refer to the relevant section in the policy.

    Terms and Conditions Updates:

    Tailored Living Bespoke reserves the right to modify or change site terms without notice.
